Chicago Smoke Kitchen started as Chicago Smoke, an entity that smoked beef, pork and various items for use in competitions and for wholesale distribution to some of Chicago’s most well known restaurants.
In 2012, when the City of Chicago passed the Chicago Mobile Food Preparer ordinance that would allow food trucks to cook on their mobile units, Chicago Smoke recognized the need for a shared kitchen and commissary that could accommodate what was going to be an immediate influx of entrepreneurs looking to seize the opportunity that the city has provided. So Chicago Smoke Kitchen was born.
Chicago Smoke Kitchen procured a shared kitchen and commissary license in 2013. Since then, we have been fortunate enough to satisfy every City of Chicago requirement to ensure that our facility was capable of accommodating Food Trucks and Caterers with all of the services necessary for any company to operate in sanitary and safe conditions.
